ARE YOU DRINKING ENOUGH WATER?

We all know that it is important to drink enough water. Water is essential for our bodies as it is in every cell, tissue and organ. It keeps our skin clear and hydrated, lubricates and cushions our joints and assists in waste elimination.

Even with this knowledge, it can still be challenging to drink all the water
our bodies
need daily. However, if you are not drinking enough you may experience poor digestion, sluggish thinking,
headaches, bad breath, skin breakouts and fatigue.

Try to leave a glass of water by your bed each night and drink it when you wake in
the morning. Drinking water first thing, flushes out toxins and rejuvenates your system.
Keep a bottle of water accessible throughout the day as having it close by will remind you to take a sip when thirsty. Drink most of your daily water before early evening and you most likely will not be thirsty before bed or wake to use the bathroom and disturb a good night’s sleep.

Some people like bottled water, while others prefer filtered or tap water. If the taste of plain water is unappealing, experiment to see how you can make it drinkable - try adding a wedge of lemon, a twist of lime or a squeeze of orange to make it more appealing. Remember that natural juice, raw fruits and vegetables also contribute to the hydration process.

So, enjoy your workouts this summer and don’t forget to drink plenty of water!
